About Victoria

Victoria began studying photography in 1996 and has focused her professional skills through a wide range of study and experience in both traditional photography and documentary television in the years following.  She completed the Certificate in Advanced Photography at The Photo School in 2007 and has since cultivated a successful wedding photography and portraiture business operating under her own name.

Victoria’s style and approach to her wedding and portraiture work was framed by her experience working in London at the BBC and with music photographer Scarlett Page.  Accustomed to the frantic action of live music photography, she’s an expert in capturing the priceless candid moments of a wedding day that are so easily missed.

Her television documentary experience has given Victoria the ability to step back and let a story tell itself.  This gives her photographs a natural and genuine edge, something rare in wedding photography.  Her ease behind the camera allows for relaxed subjects evidenced in her award-winning portraiture work. Victoria was awarded a general prize in the M.I.L.K competition, her photo will be one of 150 images to be printed in the latest book, currently being printed.

Victoria has developed a style and process that is easy and flows naturally so that she gets the best shots (and has a lot of fun!) on your wedding day.  It is really important to Victoria to get to know you before the wedding day so that she really understands your story and can document the way it works into your wedding day.  Also, the better you know each other, the more comfortable you’ll feel being photographed on your big day, which will ultimately give you better photos.

Victoria’s background in documentary television gives her a strong sense of storytelling.  She understands how hard couples work to make their wedding day a reflection of their own love story and she wants all of those elements to be evident in the photos she takes.  Victoria works as unobtrusively as possible so that she can capture the best of what you’ve created.

On the day itself, there will be two photographers covering your wedding to ensure that they get maximum coverage.  Victoria finds that the best photos are taken when you’re unaware-having two photographers insures you get those wonderful candid shots.
